Financial Manager

The Financial Manager supports the objectives of the accounting department while providing financial leadership for all financial aspects within a business segment, including budgeting and forecasting, financial reporting and analysis.

Essential Functions and Key Tasks:

  • Support the objectives of the corporate accounting group, including the enforcement of all corporate accounting policies and procedures, within the business unit.
  • Provide financial leadership and assistance to the Vice President, Division Managers and Dining Service Directors for all financial aspects within the business unit.
  • Work with the business unit in the development of the budget and ongoing forecast updates for the business unit and the individual sites. Interact with corporate accounting, which will manage the overall budgeting process.
  • Responsible for providing clear and meaningful financial analysis and reporting at the business unit and individual unit level for use by the Chief Operating Officer, Vice Presidents and Division Managers.
  • Review the proformas developed by sales and operations for all new site surveys within the business unit.
  • Develop contract abstracts and monthly pre-bill and final billing reconciliation for the individual locations, ensuring that billing is maximized based on the enforcement of the terms of the contract.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and cash flow for the business unit. Provide first-line collection support for the Dining Service Directors and Division Managers.
  • Work with the general accounting and financial reporting group to provide assistance as required in the performance of their assigned activities.
  • Perform any and all other duties as may be required by the Vice President Controller, Operational Vice Presidents, Division Managers or Dining Service Directors.

 

Qualifications:

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred. Minimum 5 plus year’s accounting/financial services experience, preferably from a Public accounting firm or large financial institution. Excellent PC skills, especially Microsoft Office and Great Plains. Must have demonstrated interaction and communication skills to work productively with business unit partners and to exchange information with legal entity controllers and others.
